God is hilarious AND creative.

I had the privilege of going to a gymnastics meet at The University of Alabama last month. I was brought into a whole new world of fun! I have always loved watching the gymnastics portion of the Olympics, so I knew that I would enjoy watching, but I had no idea how good the U of A gymnasts are! (Usually in the Top 3 nationally!)

My friend, Lynsey, was the manager for the team when she was in graduate school, so she invited a group of us to attend the meet. We had a VIP dinner with the gymnastics alumni and had awesome seats! The best part was sitting next to Lynsey who could fill me in on the details of the coaching, point deductions and judging.

As the night went on, they made good use of their JumboTron. They had the "Kiss Cam" swarming through the room, cutest fan competition, and many "Dance Cam" opportunities. After a long week of teaching, I wasn't really in the mood to show all of Tuscaloosa's finest my moves. Although, they were giving away iPod shuffles and baskets of BBQ sauce (not appealing). As the night was nearing the end, I got a wild hair and the Dance Cam's temptation overcame me. I encouraged all of my friends to stand up and dance to YMCA with me. While this is not my favorite song selection, I was in the mood and thought it would be fun.

Before I knew it, the "Dance Cam" was on ME. Oh my. Such a surprise....but I knew that I might win something, so my "moves" only improved as I was being televised. Before I knew it, I had won and iPad! Oh my.....good thing I didn't waste my energy on the Dreamland BBQ sauce basket, huh?

Being that I have no need for an iPad (with a laptop at home and at school) I sold it. I will be using that money to help fund my trip to Africa this summer! God is already providing in unique and amazing ways!
Here's a group shot. Ca you spy the iPad?
